The 4119A drive module allows direct connection to actuators such as small horsepower brushed DC servo motors, relays, lamps, solenoids and valves. With the addition of the new C-Series modules, engineers now have more than 30 plug-in C-Series modules to choose from and connect to any industrial or automotive sensor or signal type. With the low power consumption and small form factor of the NI 9505 modules, coupled with the reconfigurability and performance of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), engineers can create smart, energy-efficient control systems using National Instruments’ LabVIEW graphical system design platform.
The 4119A delivers up to 8 A continuous (or 2 A at 70 degrees Celsius) and 12 A peak at 30 V while achieving 98 percent power efficiency. The module helps electronics engineers designing consumer appliances, industrial control engineers designing small and medium-sized machines, and automotive engineers working on rapid prototyping applications. Engineers can create powerful motion control applications using energy-efficient real-time embedded processors and high-performance FPGAs from NI LabVIEW and CompactRIO embedded control and acquisition systems. By customizing the FPGA logic, engineers can precisely control torque, speed, and position, and implement advanced control techniques such as using trap filters and gain scheduling.
