The TAC-311DG generates Microsoft Visio-driven graphical views of configured interfaces, support for OPC Unified Architecture, improved OPC DA and HDA server hierarchical views, and improved ISA-95/B2MML support. Version 4.2 also includes a completely rewritten built-in store-and-forward feature that can be enabled by selecting a single checkbox, and provides guaranteed delivery, FIFO processing, and one-time delivery to ensure that no data is lost in the event of a network outage or unplanned system downtime. Monitoring and management of store-and-forward messages is tightly integrated with the NLINK Management Module.

The TAC-311DG powers the sensor and transmits its measurements over the LTE-M cellular network using the MQTT/Sparkplug message structure to bring the data into the SignalFire Cloud or existing customer platforms. The new module adds to the RANGER’s capabilities to interface with two of the world’s leading sensor communication standards, HART™ and SDI-12. The RANGER can power up to 15 HART™ devices when equipped with the HART extension module, and up to 8 devices with the SDI-12 extension module (depending on the current consumption of each device). With this option, users can choose from a wider variety of sensors best suited to their application and reduce installation costs by using multi-protocol sensors to the cloud platform.
