The SCXI-1325 adds support for Windows Vista OS and the new National Instruments CompactRIO controller for high-performance motion control. Robert Canik, director of motion control research and development at National Instruments, said, “The NI SoftMotion Development Module provides designers with a new way to create the optimal control system for their application, resulting in a more efficient machine without the overhead of a custom layout.” The NI SoftMotion Development Module is ideally suited for applications requiring high-speed or customized control, such as drilling, semiconductor processes, microelectromechanical systems processes (MEMS) and in-line vehicle sequencing for automakers.
