416NHM30032A

The 416NHM30032A can start streaming data to a PC immediately, or at an external trigger input, selected through software. In trigger mode, a high state on the trigger line will initiate data acquisition. The maximum throughput of streaming data varies with the number of channels and is also system dependent. Typically, throughput is up to 32K samples/s for a single channel and up to 13K samples/s for all 8 channels. There are 16 bi-directional digital I/O lines in the U120816 module. Each line is software configurable to input or output high or output low. All lines are set to input by default at power-up or reset. The module has a 16-bit counter. Software can select whether the counter should be reset after a read. The counter is incremented when it detects a falling edge followed by a rising edge. If you reset the counter when the signal is low, you will not get the first count until it changes to High-Low-High again.

The 416NHM30032A can be software configured to input or output high or output low. All lines are set to input by default at power-up or reset. All digital lines are 5V TTL and include a 470 ohm series resistor to provide overvoltage/short circuit protection. Each channel also has a 1M resistor ground. There is an external trigger line for flow mode data acquisition. This line can be configured via software if the user wishes to wait for it. When used, the device will initiate hardware timed data acquisition whenever the line goes high. This is a TTL level input. the U120816 has two 10-bit PWM outputs. The software can set the period and duty cycle of each channel individually. The period is between 3 microseconds and 333 microseconds and the frequency is between 333kHz and 3kHz. The duty cycle can be set from 0 – 100% The PWM outputs can be used to light LEDs, drive motors, or converted to analog outputs by adding additional circuitry.
