RS-FS-9001 Inter-Drive Communication via DCS-Link Data can be easily exchanged directly from drive to drive thanks to DCS-Link, a fast, high-performance point-to-point communication feature. If modifications are unexpectedly required during commissioning, the user can use adaptive programming to perform these modifications on the control panel without the need for any additional hardware or software. In addition, the DCS800 features another innovation: each converter is equipped with a powerful PLC and does not require any additional computer modules. This enables users to cost-effectively handle local control tasks directly in the drive.

The RS-FS-9001 features a fully integrated field power supply, with the entire power connection process consisting of “three cables in, four cables out”. Automatic detection of phase sequence means that the user does not have to worry about identical connections. With a supply voltage of 230 – 1200 VAC, 50/60Hz, and standard CE, cULus, and C-Tick approvals, the drive can be used anywhere in the world, and the DCS800 drive ranges from 20 to 20,000 amps DC. The new DCS800 converter has almost unlimited expandability. Expansion modules for all common fieldbuses as well as additional analogue and digital inputs/outputs can be easily inserted without tools.
