PTQ-PDPMV1
The PTQ-PDPMV1 provides an effective solution for measuring the true thickness of electrode materials at the coating and pressing stations in the lithium-ion battery manufacturing process. Accurate thickness measurement is a key criterion for achieving optimum battery performance. The coating and pressing stations of the battery production line are very demanding for Li-ion battery manufacturers. It is particularly important to produce electrode sheets with a uniform coating on the top and bottom of the material. Accurate thickness measurements of the coating are used to control the cross-directional (CD) and longitudinal (MD) coatings and the subsequent calendering process. The technology provides a measurement accuracy of 1 micron, enabling operators to detect and classify defective areas in the electrode material prior to downstream processing.
The PTQ-PDPMV1 includes many new enhancements and features:
Connects directly to the new Matrox AltiZ family of 3D contour sensors, as well as other third-party sensors, to perform depth map processing and analysis.
Coarse segmentation uses deep learning to classify image content, generating maps indicating pre-established categories and scores for all image neighbourhoods so that users can detect defects in highly textured materials.
Images are acquired via GigE Vision® or USB3 Vision® and now CoaXPress®, plus images can be captured from one or more CoaXPress® cameras using a Matrox Rapixo CXP frame grabber card.
CC-Link IE Field Basic, as well as EtherNet/IP, Modbus over TCP/IP, and PROFINET protocols for enhanced industrial communications and direct interaction with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
PLC Interface Simulator for testing communication with PLCs without having to have a PLC at hand.
