The PPA322B HIEE300016R2 HIEE400235R1 securely connects a serial device or PLC to an Ethernet LAN, allowing access to data from any workstation. Each module supports scripting in BASIC, but configuration is simple and requires no special programming knowledge. A telephone modem on the WebPort 2005 and 2001 allows users to remotely access PLC data and receive alerts via email or mobile phone text messages.

The PPA322B HIEE300016R2 HIEE400235R1 modules both come with a handy utility software program that supports a wide range of operating systems such as Windows 2000 and XP, WinCE 6.0 and Linux Kernel 2.6, eliminating the need to manually program the modules. Both blocks include TX/RX LED indicators, as well as shared IRQ settings for each port. These ports are standard PC ports and are compatible with COM1, COM2, COM3, and COM4.
