The PM3326B-6-1-2-E Accelerometer Input Module was developed in response to customer demand for a compact, versatile, low-cost isolated signal conditioner that interfaces with industry-standard accelerometers, which ensures full-featured instrument-grade performance in a smaller package than competing modular products. Since its conception, the SCM5B48 has been designed for simple field reconfiguration as application requirements change. Any combination of optional parameters is allowed. This flexibility allows a single module to be used in a variety of scenarios while providing the traditional isolation and protection features of Dataforth’s SCM5B family.

The PM3326B-6-1-2-E provides the option to set the constant current source for sensor excitation to a universal value of 4mA or 9mA and a compliance voltage of 24VDC. To ensure the safety of expensive data acquisition equipment, the PM3326B-6-1-2-E module signal inputs and sensor excitation outputs are protected against accidental connection of voltages up to 240Vrms. High-performance isolation barriers break ground loops, allow operation at high common-mode input voltages and suppress large common-mode spikes, all of which help maintain signal integrity.Other key features of the PM3326B-6-1-2-E include:
