The PE1315A has 48 lines of digital I/O that can be individually programmed as inputs, outputs, or outputs with readback. These lines are TTL-compatible, absorb 12 mA of current, and support direct connection to industry-standard optically isolated AC and DC signal conditioners. Isolated signal conditioners protect, filter and isolate analogue input and output signals from electrical transients.
