PCD230A 3BHE022291R0101 simply sends data back and forth between Ethernet protocols without allowing external applications direct access to the company network. harting has added a second interface to its Edge Computing MICA for these applications. The additional USB interface can be used to add more functionality or a USB storage device. This is because the MICA can also perform complex data conversion and aggregation. The auxiliary Ethernet interface is provided via a functional circuit board and extends the modular system of the MICA platform.
