The MS-NAE5510-1 is a laser, infrared, Stahl encoder rail or rotary encoder connected via a discrete connection or virtually any AB supported industrial network. Motor drives can be connected via analogue -10 to +10 VDC speed command signals or industrial networks.ABICS is a plug-and-play replacement for the ageing Geotronics TCS-4000 and Trimble ICS-5000 products. The system transparently replaces existing positioning systems in RS232 applications. DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet and other networks are also available.

Applications for the MS-NAE5510-1 include static and dynamic torque measurement of stationary or rotating components in the laboratory, test and measurement, as well as production and process control and education. The transducers have a compact and robust design with an accuracy of class 0.5 as defined by HBM and are available in different nominal (rated) torque steps ranging from 5 N-m to 1000 N-m. The maximum permissible rotational speed range is from 9,000 to 16,000 rpm, depending on the measurement range. Integrated electronics ensure ease of use and reduce costs in the measurement chain. the T22 torque transducer has a power supply requirement of 11.5 V to 30 V DC and features two parallel ±5 V and 10±8 mA analogue outputs, making it an ideal solution for direct connection to a PLC.
