The IS220PPROS1B provides a straightforward, easy-to-use communications pipeline that eliminates the need for an OPC server, enabling fast communications without high operating costs. The module is supplied with a free Windows-based configuration utility (BWConfig) that allows the user to map J1939 Parameter (PGN) data to the module’s input and output tables, which can be accessed by Profibus masters via the Profibus-DP network. The gateway supports Profibus-DP slave functionality with cyclic I/O data transfer and can handle up to 244 bytes of input and 244 bytes of output data. The gateway supports up to 35 incoming J1939 Transport Protocol (Big Message) sessions and can monitor up to 120 different PGNs in the input data point configuration and transmit up to 100 different PGNs in the output data point configuration.
