IOB-80

The IOB-80 consists of a leak detector controller in a DIN rail mounted enclosure and up to 1500m of leak sensing cable. The controller is capable of detecting leaks and indicating their location as the distance between the cable and the controller.The IOB-80 controller has an LCD and three pushbutton switches that allow the user to access the options menu and select from a variety of programmable functions. During normal operation, the display indicates system status or the location of any leaks. The controller can be powered from a 210-250VAC (105-130Vac, U.S. version) power supply or from 10-24Vac or 12-32Vdc via the low voltage power terminals.

The IOB-80 has a variety of process outputs including two SPDT relays for direct control of mains powered pumps, valves or alarms, open collector transistors for connection to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), building management systems (BMSs) or indirectly to drive other valves or pumps via external relays, and lastly an RS485 serial communications port for remote monitoring. The controllers are capable of detecting damaged or improperly terminated sensing cables, and relay and transistor outputs can be assigned to respond to leaks or faults. Each controller can use sensing cable lengths between 15m and 1500m, with the location of the leak measured along this cable length. The cable is terminated with a 4-pin DIN plug at one end and a DIN socket at the other.
