The sealed NEMA4x aluminum enclosure prevents network tampering and can be used in the most challenging field installations. Onboard security microcontrollers control lithium-ion polymer batteries on a case-by-case basis, enhancing the high density, fast charging, extreme temperature tolerance, and extended life of lithium-ion technology. The UPS.500 takes full advantage of all the benefits of lithium energy storage over conventional systems using lead-acid batteries, including extremely high energy density and significant improvements in size, weight and service life.

The IC697BEM731Z also charges up to 10 times faster than conventional lead-acid battery systems. The secure on-board microcontroller provides secure 10/100 Mbit Ethernet IPv4 and IPv6 communications and supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) embedded web server and embedded IEC 62541 – OPC Unified Architecture server.
