The HCU37003703E supports a variety of protocols and physical communication layers, including dial-up, leased line, and wireless. With this module, data exchanged with other devices can be easily applied to Ovation control schemes and displayed graphically. The module’s native processing power and memory make it ideal for protocol processing applications such as interfacing with turbine vibration systems, burner management and safety systems, SCADA systems, PLCs, electrical relays, process analysers, and many other devices that support Ethernet communications. Application protocol packages can be loaded onto Ethernet Link Controller I/O modules, enabling Emerson to extend its PlantWeb digital architecture and Ovation system beyond traditional plant boundaries.

The HCU37003703E adds two-door floor-mounted models with three-point handles. Constructed of 10-gauge steel and body reinforcement for added strength, these enclosures are designed with a standard 12-inch floor kit welded to the bottom, heavy-duty removable lugs, and collar bolts for mounting optional panels. Rolled edges on three sides of the door and the top of the enclosure keep out liquids and contaminants; also available in 12/10-gauge Type 304 or 316L stainless steel models. Stainless steel lift-off wall-mounted enclosures are now available in 16 gauge 304 and 316L stainless steel. The enclosure has external mounting feet on the top and bottom and stainless steel screws and clips on all sides of the lid to ensure a watertight seal. Designed for environments that are often wet or have frequent contact with water, other liquids, and contaminants, stainless steel single-door wall-mounted enclosures are available with a three-point padlock handle. Constructed of 14-gauge Type 304 or 316L stainless steel, these enclosures provide unrivalled protection for electrical components in highly corrosive environments; painted 304 stainless steel models are also available.
