The F8652E prevents problems caused by ground loops. Devices connected to the Internet require countermeasures against cyber threats. the MRD-350 provides protection against malicious eavesdroppers through encrypted communication tunnels (Virtual Private Network (VPN)). The device also features a simple but powerful packet inspection firewall. Using the on-board Web interface, VPN tunnels between sites can be easily set up, even on unsecured networks such as the Internet. To extend the life of older devices, this product comes with a variety of tools to ensure connectivity with PLCs and other RS-232-based devices. The built-in dual-port 10/100 Ethernet switch and RS-232 ports allow for seamless connectivity to a wide range of devices, machines, and systems over unlimited distances.

The F8652E supports multiple wireless standards including GSM, GPRS, 3G UMTS, HSDPA and HSUPA. The MRD-350 supports dual SIM cards, ensuring that site connectivity is not dependent on a single carrier. If the operator’s network fails, the device automatically switches to the backup SIM card. When used in in-vehicle applications (trains, trucks, buses, SUVs, etc.), the router will automatically use the most efficient network based on geographic area. The ruggedized housing, 10 VDC to 60 VDC operating voltage range, and compact design (all interfaces and LEDs are located on the front) make the device ideal for industrial DIN rail applications in harsh environments.
