The DS200DCFBG1BLC provides a set of user interfaces for simulation and model-based design that generates, compiles, and loads application code onto the target dsPIC DSC with a single click. Updates to this version include the Multi-Rate and Interrupt Function Device Module, as well as a free version with up to seven I/O ports, which eliminates the compile wait time found in the previous free version. Existing users can upgrade to the new PRO version at no charge. The need for energy efficiency is driving complex motor control designs utilising sensorless control techniques and closed-loop algorithms.

The DS200DCFBG1BLC device module provides complete, model-based control of most dsPIC DSC on-chip peripherals for greater flexibility and utilisation, including digital I/O, ADC, PWM, change notification, output comparison, input capture, quadrature encoder interfaces, interrupts and reset, as well as communication interfaces such as I2C™, SPI and UART. In addition, designers can use the GUI to create their own customised interface. In addition, designers can monitor, tune, and document their algorithms and applications in real time through the GUI. The device module is also easy to set up, with one configuration for all dsPIC DSCs, allowing for easy in-process design changes and seamless migration.
