SPASI23

The SPASI23 features a wide operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C, comprehensive protection circuitry, and a digital display for monitoring/indicating low input voltage, short circuits, input overvoltage, overheating, overload, and low battery. The display also shows voltage, current, power and temperature. Efficiency is up to 94% depending on model selected and EMI is minimised to Class B standards to reduce impact on other equipment. The rugged design is ideal for industrial, utility, military, rail/transportation, satellite, computer, vehicle/mobile, marine, and general standby power applications. 5000W of power is available in a compact module size of 5.5″ x 12.75″ x 19.5″ (H x W x D), while still providing The compact module size of 5.5″ x 12.75″ x 19.5″ (H x W x D) delivers 5000W of power while still accommodating space-constrained installations. The module can be powered by a standard 3.6V Li-Ion battery. The DSK 720M comes standard with a 96% ceramic membrane.

The SPASI23 can be configured and programmed via an integrated interface. The output signal is a standard proportional voltage output, allowing the sensor module to be fully signal conditioned and compensated. There is an optional I2C interface for local bus configuration, enabling the user to communicate serially with the sensor. Optional configuration kits are also available to enable OEMs to reconfigure the DSK 720M for different end-user applications; simply connect the module to a PC via the interface and use the menu-driven programming software to calibrate pressures, configure the start and end points of the pressure range, damping and offset adjustments. The module is also designed to transmit temperature signals from thermocouples, RTDs and other devices using Pt-100 technology up to 0.3% of full scale and is available with 2, 3 or 4-wire connections. This simple conversion of current signals makes the IMS module an inexpensive addition to a new or retrofit application, allowing the user to use a standard current analogue card rather than an expensive thermocouple or RTD card.
