3500/15 Easy access to status, diagnostic, preventive maintenance and control information. The new BOSS HMI provides client-server functionality and runs on Windows XP, Linux, Solaris, QNX, AIX, HP-UX and Mac OSX. Built-in HMI functionality includes control, status and diagnostic screens that automatically adapt to the look and feel of the native platform. Many additional standard HMI screens are included for system performance, carton tracking, alarm monitoring and more. Delivering flexible and information-rich PC-based control solutions with a powerful Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) The new and enhanced multi-processor support in BOSS allows a single controller to manage, control and process more data and devices, opening up new opportunities for control implementation The I/O support in BOSS now includes ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and the flexibility to add additional I/O support as needed, such as ASI and Profibus platforms.

The 3500/15 can customise the BOSS HMI for a wide range of applications. these new features provide great flexibility to meet customer requirements and support capabilities. The system’s new integrated user management centralises the configuration of system access. Individual access can be configured based on default job or role permissions, allowing the system to automatically adjust the screens available to each individual. User access information needs to be configured only once and then automatically shared with all client instances of the HMI, reducing system administration effort. New enhanced BOSS features can be utilised. As always, the FKI Logistex BOSS control system integrates seamlessly with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to exchange carton data, including planned, current and actual routing information based on real-time and historical data for specific cartons. No special information bridging system is required.
