The 200-595-002-011 provides specialized safety I/O modules. Each FSoE slave has four safety inputs, two safety outputs and four OSSD outputs. Because these modules use EtherCAT for fast real-time communication, they are also ideal for existing systems or installations that require a scalable solution. One FSoE master can control up to 65,535 slave devices. Designed for applications requiring current ratings up to 10 amps or applications requiring extended contact electrical life. The relay contacts are 14 millimeters wide, which is much larger than standard 6 millimeter terminal relays. These contacts help extend service intervals to two to three times that of standard relays while adding safety for uncertain load conditions.

The 200-595-002-011 includes a safety editor for use with KEB’s FSoE safe PLCs and I/Os. This single programming environment allows the programmer to develop the entire machine, including motion control and safety, using one software program. KEB’s Safety Editor uses CoDeSys’ certified plug-ins and programs with function blocks. combivis Studio is also used to configure KEB’s Safe Motion Drives, which also support IEC 61800-5-2 compliant FSoE and Safe Motion functions.
