With its flexible system architecture and integrated security, the 140CPU67160C is designed to meet the needs of today’s surveillance applications. Users simply select the right combination of modules in almost any arrangement to create a customized solution for each job. Users can build an axis subsystem with up to six units or nodes that are connected in a network via Ethernet Cat protocol. Each node can hold up to 10 modules, including a processor module, one or two power supplies, and a user-determined combination of I/O modules to suit the application. The shaft node uses an integrated RTAC module as CPU, which means that the shaft is not just an rtu, but a complete substation data concentrator and integration platform.

The 140CPU67160C utilizes the same field-proven technology as the SELL protective relay and supports the entire node. In critical situations where two input power sources are available, dual power modules are installed on each node so that the axis can control the required processes in the event of a power failure. All I/O points are updated every millisecond, even when the nodes on the axis are distributed using the available fiber optic Ethernet connection. All markers in the system can be recorded as a system-wide event sequence report. Engineers can combine the axes with SEL icon communication networks when they need to separate nodes over large distances without loss of determinism. The axis has a full ic61131 logic processor, secure communications, advanced data centralization, local and remote I/O, and multiple built-in protocol conversion functions between client/server protocols. This independent information system 61131 engine provides a means for engineers to run customized control logic at two different speeds.
