086351-004

086351-004 improves quality, productivity, flexibility and scalability.Modbus/TCP is a variant of the Modbus family of simple, vendor-independent communication protocols for supervising and controlling automation equipment. The module has 4 MB of application code storage and comes with two full-featured EtherNet/IP Device Level Ring (DLR) connections. The Armor GuardLogix PAC has access to a controller mode switch, USB port, secure digital (SD) card, and power switch, as well as a 24V DC power pass-through to power other On Machine products. This feature allows power to be routed from one machine device or module to another, eliminating the need for a power supply for each device and simplifying the overall system architecture.

The 086351-004 is RoHS compliant and has a temperature range of -40 to 80 degrees Celsius for programmable intelligence in non-ideal conditions. It features a sealed waterproof enclosure, analog and digital I/O, high-speed counting, TCP/IP, communication ports, CAN network communication, and structured text programming. The module offers a maximum response time of 18.7 milliseconds – probably less than 1/6th of the response time of competitive safety I/O terminals Typical response time for safety I/O terminals can be longer than stand-alone systems because it is dependent on the network system architecture. Therefore, a fixed maximum response time is an important feature because it allows for quick and safe movement of the machine to a safe state, regardless of the network architecture, number of I/O modules, or overall program complexity.
