The 8502-B1-DP provides data acquisition, transmission, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and real-time communication connectivity to back-end systems.The 10.1-inch WUXGA LED display is made of scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and supports multi-touch PCAP control as well as glove operation. Meanwhile, the screen’s 1920 x 1200 resolution and 1000cd/m2 brightness are designed to ensure readability in direct sunlight to support outdoor applications. Designed to operate in industrial environments, the tablet weighs 1.4 kg, has an operating temperature range of (-20 ~ 50 °C), is IP65 rated for water and dust resistance, and has a drop resistance of 4 feet. Also included is a mini card for 3G, WiFi expansion, six COM ports, a 16-bit digital I/O interface, and optional Trusted Platform Module security.

The 8502-B1-DP comes with a replaceable external battery that provides up to 11 hours of continuous operation, as well as five additional programmable PCAP hotkeys for executing programs and setting parameters, and key combination functions. In addition, the PWS-872 can be integrated with a range of peripheral modules and accessories, including a vehicle docking station, VESA mounting base, multi-slot battery charger, universal cover, UHF RFID reader and RJ45+COM+USB3.0 module. Equipped with up to 8GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM for fast access to critical data and optional high-performance Intel Core i7-3555LE CPU or cost-effective Intel Celeron 847E processor. It also features a CPU and Platform Controller Hub (PCH) soldered design with a matching heat sink that can be attached to the interior wall of a vehicle or machine for excellent large surface heat dissipation, as well as easy peripheral installation and maintenance for system installers.
