Detailed content

VMIVME-7700 350-007700-111000 H

The VMIVME-7700 enables users to seamlessly integrate additional high and low power digital and analogue I/O into the system. The user imports the EtherCAT I/O configuration file into the A3200 MotionPAC PLC module, making it available to all programmers. Users then use the MotionPAC mapping tool to connect EtherCAT I/O points to tags or variables. Connections are made by dragging and dropping EtherCAT I/O names onto tags or variables defined in MotionPAC, the operator interface, or any other module of the system.MotionPAC automatically manages the memory associated with EtherCAT I/O mapping. There is no need for the programmer to allocate memory addresses. While programmers are free to view the memory assignments, they can also change or create them if needed.

The real-time and high-speed capabilities of the VMIVME-7700 enhance the ability of software-based machine controllers to meet the needs of large-scale distributed applications that require decentralised and diverse I/Os. Using this technology, millions of I/O points per second can be accessed while controlling machine functions, including high-end motion and other control loops such as temperature and pneumatic control. Module integration is achieved by integrating the Hueyosens CIFX 50-RE card into the system and is available as an optional software driver. This new feature makes it easy to combine fieldbus I/O with drive I/O in motion and PLC programmes. Combining EtherCAT I/O with integrated motion and PLC creates an ideal machine controller platform that will minimise development and commissioning time while providing a high-performance solution for automation projects.
