Detailed content

TC-PPD011

The TC-PPD011 module uses IO-Link to improve device configuration, monitoring and replacement in industrial applications. The module provides four IO-Link channels. It is designed for a range of industries, including space-constrained manufacturing, robotic end-effector requiring small I/O, and automotive manufacturing and primary plants. The module features one 10/100 MHz Ethernet port, one RS-232, one isolated RS-485, four isolated analogue input channels, two isolated analogue output channels, four isolated digital inputs and two relay channels, as well as a 1-wire interface for temperature or humidity sensors. This I/O module comes with the FreeRTOS+lwIP Board Support Package (BSP), Device Manager utility and sample programs.

The TC-PPD011 is a Field Logic Controller (FLC).As an FLC, the module can perform control tasks at the field level. This allows users to implement simpler applications without the need for an additional PLC. In more complex applications, the FLC function provides the processing requirements for parent control systems. Configuration and programming are carried out via Turck’s ARGEE web-based engineering system. The FEN20 devices feature multi-protocol plug-and-play functionality for immediate use in PROFINET, Modbus TCP or Ethernet/IP systems. The device detects the protocol used by listening to the communication traffic during the start-up phase. The module is available in a VQFN-32, 5×5 mm chip size package. It offers both USB and SPI communication interfaces and can be integrated into USB devices as well as small, energy-efficient devices with only SPI interfaces.
