The IS220PAICH1A supports up to 35 incoming J1939 Transport Protocol (Big Message) sessions and can monitor up to 120 different PGNs in an input data point configuration and transmit up to 100 different PGNs in an output data point configuration.The J1939 Transport Protocol (Big Message) handler rejects incoming session requests (BAMs and RTS/CTSs) for PGN/address pairs not configured as input data points. The J1939 to Profibus gateway is the latest addition to the HMS Anybus gateway family, which consists of more than 180 individual versions that provide inter-network communication between virtually any fieldbus or industrial Ethernet. The new C-Series modules connect CompactRIO PACs and NI Single-Board RIO embedded systems to PROFIBUS industrial networks and add high-performance measurement, advanced analytics, and custom field-programmable gate array (FPGA) logic to existing systems.

The IS220PAICH1A enables industrial control engineers to add high-speed measurement and analysis, advanced control, network connectivity and data logging to existing systems to improve machine performance and quality. The new NI CompactRIO PROFIBUS C-Series modules add high-performance measurement and custom control to standardised PROFIBUS-based systems by connecting CompactRIOs and NI Single-Board RIOs as masters or slaves to PROFIBUS DP networks. In addition, ABB introduced a single-port FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 interface for USB and a pair of DeviceNet motherboards for PXI and PCI.
