The 5466-258 processor offers up to four cores for high performance in low-power IIoT solutions. Compared to the previous RCO-1000-J1900, the Elkhart Lake generation of chips delivers up to 2.3x more single- and multi-threaded performance, up to 5x more graphics performance and up to 4x more memory capacity with integrated Intel® UHD graphics. With this release, the 5466-258 supports complex software applications, up to three independent 4K displays, and 15 years of embedded lifecycle support. The on-board embedded CAN bus allows direct communication with other machines and network devices. An optional power ignition module prevents loss of sensitive data in automotive environments, hardware security with TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 2.0, dual SIM card slots (4G/LTE and 5G) for data telemetry, and flexible mounting options (DIN rail, side-mount, wall-mount, and VESA).

The left side of the 5466-258 system can be expanded with a CX2500 module. This makes it easy to add as many PC interfaces as required, such as two additional 1 GB Ethernet ports or fieldbus interfaces. the CX5600 series devices have an extended operating temperature range of -25 C to +60 C, even in applications with harsh climatic conditions. A differentiating feature of the series is the ability to customise the modular I/O with Premio’s proprietary add-on modules. With up to 3 modular I/O slots, system integrators can choose from multiple I/O options to meet deployment requirements. Modular I/O options include:
