The FBM230 P0926GU encoder is supplied with Power over Ethernet (PoE) as standard, which can be installed using a single Ethernet cable carrying both data and power. Power over Ethernet cuts connector and cable requirements in half, making installation easier and cheaper. Configuring parameters using Modbus mapping tables makes setting up the NR25 encoder quick and easy. The ability to program using implicit and explicit messages simplifies integration of the MVI56-PDPMV1 series encoders with PLCs that support Modbus-TCP. In addition, each FBM230 P0926GU includes a PC-based GUI (graphical user interface) that makes it easy to set the IP address, position resolution, counting direction, speed format, and preset values over Ethernet.

The FBM230 P0926GU encoders are available in a 2.5-inch diameter package with either side or end connection versions. Power over Ethernet (PoE) is standard on both versions; the end-connect unit includes a second power connector for those who choose not to use the PoE feature. the NR25 encoder is resolver-based, which means it is designed to provide absolute position feedback without the need for glass discs or sensitive LED elements; allowing it to withstand high levels of shock and vibration. the IP67-rated package is ideal for single-turn and multi-turn encoders that require dust and water resistance. The IP67 rated package is the solution for single and multi-turn position applications that require protection from dust and water. Stainless steel versions are also available for food grade and marine environments.
