The F8621A accepts thermocouple, RTD, linear resistor, potentiometer, voltage or current inputs and converts these signals to linear voltage or current outputs. The unit provides isolation between inputs, outputs, and power supplies, provides surge suppression, and protects the control system from transients and noise.The IC697CHS790 also provides electrical isolation and eliminates ground loops, and can be used to measure floating signals. The modules can serve multiple domains and can handle complex requirements, high-speed analogue measurements, multiple programs with varying cycle times, open communication capabilities and enterprise-class network integration.

The F8621A is space-saving and has a slim housing with a width of 6 mm (0.24″). Up to 50 units can be mounted on the control panel’s DIN rail, taking up only 30 cm (11.8″) of space on the rail. the IC697CHS790’s low-power design results in a typical 24 Vdc power requirement of only 40 W for 50 units. the IC697CHS790 signal conditioner can be stacked vertically or horizontally, and no air gap is required between modules. Supports major protocols such as MODBUS TCP/IP and Ethernet I/P and can accommodate up to 64 I/O modules.
