Configuration of the DS200SIOBH1AAA remote controller is done via SICK’s Configuration and Diagnostics Software (CDS) or programmed using function blocks via the SICK EasySCT software.SICK’s range of safety interfaces now includes safety relays, stand-alone safety controllers as well as safety fieldbus solutions for DeviceNet Safety, PROFIsafe and AS-i Safety at Work. With unique advantages, solutions are available for the widest range of safety interface technologies. Powering the motor is very simple as it only requires a 3x400VAC mains voltage connection via the M23 connector. The control voltage for the encoder and microprocessor circuits is 24VDC: in the event of an emergency stop, an approved relay cuts off the mains supply and the encoder position and other values are maintained by this control voltage.

The DS200SIOBH1AAA motor sets a new standard for performance and size in servo controllers. With a length of just 182 mm, a power of 1500 W and a torque of 4.78/14.3 Nm (at 3000 rpm), this MAC motor is comparable in size to a conventional servomotor (flange dimensions 130×130 mm) without a built-in controller. This can only be achieved by using extremely compact motors and developing electronic and mechanical equipment with the latest technology and manufacturing methods.
