VMIVME-3122-210 The VMIVME3122 is a current loop interface module designed to connect field-installed transmitters in remote applications where signal isolation and surge protection are required. Applications include interfaces to RTUs, PLCs, etc. The LZI is a single-channel device with additional flexibility to support both 2-wire and 4-wire 4-20mA transmitters. the LZD is a dual-channel device for increased packaging density for multiple 2-wire transmitters. Modules combine surge suppressors, isolators, and 250-ohm terminations into a single module that can save significant cost, engineering time, and panel space in monitoring applications. These surge suppressor/isolator combinations simplify the design of RTU and field interface panels.

Fully specified 10kA 8/20µSec nominal surge suppressor to prevent surges induced on field wiring from damaging sensitive equipment in the panel.
1500Vac input to output isolation so no ground loops can occur, which could affect the accuracy of the instrument.
Stable 24Vdc field power supply that can power the two-wire transmitter from a low-voltage source, such as a 12V battery system, without affecting the available loop voltage or loop resistance.
Precision 250 ohm resistors allow easy conversion of 4-20mA to 1-5V signals for RTUs and PLCs.
