T8461

The T8461 embedded PC is equipped with 512 MB of MicroSD flash memory (optionally upgradable to 1, 2, 4, or 8 GB) and is suitable for use in an operating temperature range of -25 to +60 °C. The T8461 is equipped with Arm TrustZone for Armv8-M, a programmable environment that provides hardware isolation between authentication libraries, IP, and application code. Microchip implements security by including chip-level tamper resistance, secure boot and secure key storage, which, combined with TrustZone technology, are designed to protect customer applications from remote and physical attacks. A bottom power entry is provided for access to connections inside the panel, full documentation is provided with the quote, a wall or frame mounted enclosure, and a fast fuse to protect sensitive solid state components from current damage.

The T8461 security features also include an onboard cryptographic module that supports Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Galois Counter Mode (GCM) and Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA). Boot and key storage with tamper detection establishes a hardware root of trust. It also provides a secure bootloader for secure firmware upgrades. microchip has partnered with Trustonic, a member of the Microchip Secure Design Partner programme. microchip has also partnered with Secure Thingz and Data I/O Corporation to provide secure configuration services to SAM L11 customers.
