The 3301 features Ethernet networking for remote setup and monitoring, PLC communication via Ethernet/IP and PROFINET, and the ability to save inspection images to an FTP server, allowing the user to configure the sensor as either a presence sensor or a measurement sensor to inspect and error-proof their manufacturing process. Presence sensors verify the presence of a feature. Measurement sensors verify that the height, width and/or diameter of the feature is correct. In either mode, there is no limit to the number of part features that can be “checked” by a single Checker. With patented part inspection technology, Checker sensors are also capable of inspecting and checking more than 6,000 parts per minute at various locations on the production line. No other sensor, vision sensor or vision system can overcome inaccurate part positioning while providing consistent, precisely timed pass/fail results.
