Detailed content

IS200VAICH1DAB

The IS200VAICH1DAB is available in a small package and offers secure, robust and extensive connectivity to access data from RTUs, PLCs or any other device using the Mobus data protocol. As a native Modbus communicator, the UA Modbus gateway can be connected to any device using the standard Modbus protocol (on the one hand via serial or Ethernet connection) and on the other hand securely made available to OPC UA clients via OPC UA on Ethernet. Unlike Modbus, OPC UA (the next generation of OPC, i.e. the de facto standard for data connectivity based on open standards) offers all the features that Modbus lacks, e.g. security, reliability and data modelling.

The IS200VAICH1DAB helps to realise complex control strategies. The application’s “no-flow” valve pre-positioning simplifies the “start-up” sequence of a water or steam plant. The injection control application is SCADA ready and supports multiple streams. FloBoss 107 supports up to 4 streams and ROC800 supports up to 25 streams. The application accumulates hourly, daily, and monthly values for all parameters on each flow, and flow values can be retained in the controller for up to 35 days. The gateway allows data sharing via UA, which is the natural next step in using Modbus. The Matrikon Industrial UA Modbus gateway is ideally suited for challenging situations, including:

Remote areas with limited power supply
Remote or unattended stations requiring data collection
Limited space and need for compact solutions
Operating in extreme temperatures and/or dusty environments
