The new interface connects Foundation Fieldbus devices to standard desktop, industrial, and laptop computers.The USB-8486 is ideally suited for portable data logging as well as field configuration and maintenance of devices and networks.DeviceNet is an industrial protocol based on the physical layer of the Controller Area Network (CAN), and is managed by the Open DeviceNet Vendor Association.

The T8403 supports the latest FDT 2.1 standard. The automation vendor community uses Common Components to simplify the development of FDT/DTM and FDT/FRAME that are compliant with the FDT 2.1 specification. the 2018 release of the FDT 2.1 specification sets out the FDT Group’s path to transform the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to connect and empower the smart enterprise based on industry-driven feedback from the process, hybrid and discrete manufacturing markets. Generic component development toolkits were first introduced with the release of the FDT 2.0 standard in 2012 to simplify product development. These toolkits have been marketed to many leading control and instrumentation manufacturers who have developed and deployed FDT/FRAME, FDT/FRAME-enabled systems and DTMs.
