The 8312 features a fine 72-tooth ratchet mechanism with a low 5-degree swivel angle for fast, precise work in tight spaces. The ratchet head is equipped with an on/off lever for easy direction changes and a ball lock that securely holds the socket and attachments for safe operation; to release the socket, simply press the release button. The ratchet’s slim design and forged chrome molybdenum steel construction has no torque limitations, making it ideal for use in tight areas. Modules are available with two or four SPDT relay outputs that can be powered by 24VAC or 24VDC and accept input signals of 0-15V, 0-30V, or 0-20mA. Configuration and trip/release point programming is accomplished via DIP switches and a single programming button.

The 8312 is a comprehensive, open and standards-based platform designed to help engineers design, develop and integrate motion control and machine vision applications utilizing KINGSTAR’s soft-motion libraries and software PLCs or software of their choice. Built on EtherCAT and the real-time 64-bit Windows operating system, it provides a complete “plug and play” platform for control and automation engineering. LEDs indicate operational status for trip/release point programming. Modules can be mounted on 35 mm DIN rails or on the side. Replacement terminals are also available in packages of 5 and 14.
