The F8627 extends the reach of the company’s SureCross wireless system by expanding repeat transmissions in 3-kilometer “hops” to a total multi-hop distance of 20 kilometers or more. Multiple units can be placed to allow signals to pass over hills and other obstacles that would block individual radio hops. The multi-hop data radio can be used to directly connect a variety of field devices including PLCs, controllers, HMs, DCSs, transmitters, and level, pressure and temperature sensors. It allows the extension of the widely used Modbus communication protocol to many applications where wiring is not possible due to distance or accessibility. It can also be connected to digital, analog or temperature signals using other Banner wireless products.

The F8627 provides the same high-level motion language for all motors, allowing users to understand their technical differences at a glance.Technosoft motion technology is most useful in systems with distributed intelligence, where the motion application is divided into masters and drives. With embedded motion controllers, complex motion sequences can be programmed directly on the drives. The master simply calls up the functions implemented on the drive and waits for confirmation of their execution. Thus, advanced control functions are handled directly by the monitoring PC, eliminating the need for a multi-axis motion controller. All Technosoft drives/motors can be programmed in the new software platform EasyMotion Studio, using the Technosoft Motion Language (TML) and graphic tools in stand-alone or multi-axis configurations. Torque, speed, position, contour, profile, electronic cam and stepper motor simulation are the multi-mode motion operations of Technosoft products.
