The F8621A is used to connect RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet devices to the Internet over a cellular network.The F8621A allows communication with remote devices such as PLCs, controllers, computers, data acquisition devices, and instruments. It can be used for remote video monitoring, serial to cellular wireless communications, temperature monitoring and I/O control.3G is the third generation of cellular mobile telecommunications technology. It offers higher transmission rates than previous generation technologies. Most of the United States has 3G coverage and 3G devices are available through cell towers. Cellular providers provide maps, which can usually be accessed through their Web sites, for information about coverage areas.The GRP-520 is a wireless 3G gateway device that provides a Web server, 3G router, RS-232 and RS-485 ports, and a real-time clock. The device can be rebooted, backed up, restored and configured from a remote location via a web server. It is ready to install, supports data logging on microSD cards, and supports port mapping.

The F8621A offers enhancements for customers using Modbus commands through an HMI or PLC. Instead of searching through the manual for individual parameter addresses when programming a PLC, users can use the Modbus mapping table to map all the parameters they wish to use into a contiguous register group of up to 100 registers. This will allow the PLC program to perform a single read operation and a single write operation to all selected registers, rather than reading and writing one register at a time or being forced to read blocks of data that may not be used in their entirety.The Tritex II actuator operates from 100-240VAC and can be connected directly to factory power. Enhanced software features include 16 programmable indexes, link movement, and firmware flash upgrade capability via the actuator’s Modbus port.
