The PM511V16 3BSE011181R1 can add additional RS232/RS485 or Profibus communications as well as CANbus communications. A micro SD card slot for data logging and backup is also included. In addition, the Protocol utility allows the Vision700 to communicate via virtually any ASCII protocol. The unit can be accessed directly via the mini-USB programming port and remotely using GPRS/GSM/CDMA and other IP networks for data acquisition and programme download. Another major benefit is the ability to notify supervisors of critical information via email and text message, allowing for real-time remote management.

The PM511V16 3BSE011181R1 interface provides full connectivity to Allen-Bradley remote I/O such as 1771, 1747, SLC-500, Flex and other compatible networks. As a remote I/O master, users can upgrade existing AB PLC systems by swapping AB PLC CPUs with Smart SoftPLC controllers without having to replace or rewire I/O. Users can even reuse most existing logic and program files using SoftPLC’s automatic application conversion utility. Supports up to 32 racks. As a remote I/O slave, SoftPLC Smart Gateway can act as a bridge between the AB PLC and many other devices on other protocols (not supported by the AB PLC), or SoftPLC’s Tealware I/O can be added to an AB PLC system.
