These types of customers can now embed Opto 22’s SNAP I/O into their EtherNet/IP-based machines and systems without worrying about interoperability or communication failures within that machine or between any larger Allen.

Because the SNAP I/O system can perform a variety of advanced control functions independently of the central programmable controller, engineers can quickly and easily modify or expand their systems to meet today’s demanding automation requirements without additional logic programming. Control functions such as PID loop control, high-speed counting and latching, quadrature counting, pulsing, thermocouple linearization, analog ramping, scaling, engineering unit conversions, temperature conversions, and time-proportional outputs can be assigned and executed at the I/O level.
