The AI3351 supports a wide range of standards and proprietary protocols in frequency bands up to 500 kHz, enabling manufacturers to meet different end-customer regulatory, market and operational requirements. Individual devices can be tuned via firmware. The addition of Ethernet basic and standard PLCs, which are 3 to 10 times faster than existing CLICK PLCs and are 100% upward compatible with existing CLICK units, allows the CLICK Ethernet PLC unit to be used as a complete PLC system with 8 built-in inputs and 6 built-in outputs providing 24 VDC or 120 VAC inputs and DC or relay outputs.

The AI3351’s Ethernet PLC unit also includes a calendar/real-time clock and battery backup for internal SRAM. The Ethernet functionality of these new CLICK units also allows for runtime editing, meaning that edits to ladder projects can be downloaded while the CLICK PLC continues to run, an important addition to an already useful PLC. The modules are suitable for simple autoclaves, rotary tables and other cost-effective small to medium-sized systems. Its PLC + HMI advantage allows users to operate with minimal budget, programming time and wiring. All Jazz and Jazz 2 series controllers include 4 auto-tuned PID loops. PIDs can be set using the on-board temperature/analog inputs and analog or PWM outputs.
