05701-A-0302 extends its modular control system for PLC and Motion Control tasks with the introduction of the High Performance PLC, which is characterized by its compact design and is part of the Controller PLC family.The I/O modules can be connected directly to the Controller PLC without the need for an additional bus coupler. The control concept of the High Performance PLC can be fully integrated into all Baumüller control platforms with 100% software compatibility. The controller PLC family features PLCs with up to five different fieldbus module interfaces. extended temperature operation allows the PLC to operate at temperatures from -30 to +70 degrees Celsius and to reliably start up the system at temperatures down to -40 degrees Celsius. the AC500-XC has virtually no limitations and can be operated at temperatures of up to 70 degrees Celsius. The circuit boards are conformally coated to protect against high humidity. the PLC has extended immunity to salt spray and corrosive gases such as H2S, SO2, CL2, and NO2.

The 05701-A-0302 interfaces can be EtherCAT master/slave or CANopen master/slave interfaces or Ethernet interfaces that are open to conventional IT environments, such as OPC server communication. 32-bit RISC CPUs with a performance of 667 MHz. 64 MB of flash memory are available for the runtime system, the IEC program and the cams.
