The system integrator can now easily design a clean board to hold all the components and remove all the cables. The PIM2043 controls DC, brushless, linear and stepper motors up to 75W (24V, 3A) and embeds motion control, drive and PLC functionality in an open-frame unit (dimensions 59x42x20mm). The drives are programmable in EaseMotion Studio with the Technical Soft Motion Language (TML) and graphical tools. It is most valuable in systems with distributed intelligence, where motion application tasks are distributed between the master drive and the drives.

Complex motion sequences can be programmed directly on the drives, while system control functions are handled by the supervisory PC/PLC. Typical feedback devices include incremental encoders, digital and linear halls. Distributed control is accomplished through external adapters.
