Hardware low-pass filtering in the 1TGE120021R0010 channels suppresses 50 and 60 Hz line frequencies. High, Low, High-High and Low-Low alarms provide the monitoring and warning functions necessary to ensure optimum process flow and fail-safe applications. Precision, low-amplitude current sources minimize sensor self-heating and eliminate lead resistance errors. Input sensors and input ranges are selectable on a per-channel basis, and one to three ranges are available depending on the sensor. Over- and under-ranges of 2% over the specified input value are allowed. Sensor linearization is performed in the module with a guaranteed accuracy of ±fs Field I/O connections are made through pluggable terminal blocks whose locations are designated for terminating the wiring shield.

1TGE120021R0010 The system consists of DIN rail-mounted, programmable, multichannel, signal conditioning input and output modules and a communications module. The system power supply is connected to the communications module, which in turn powers the I/O modules. The system backbone is mounted in a 35 x 7.5 mm standard DIN rail and distributes power and communications. Each of the four available backbone models can accommodate one communication module and a number of I/O modules ranging from 4 to a maximum of 24. Units are available in industry-standard 1/2 brick packages and are rated up to 200 watts.
