The 3500/22M 146031-01 adds support for its Sample Engine function to generate stepper data outputs, as well as a new Stepper Generator function to process stepper data into stepper and direction signals for stepper motors, enabling machine builders to select the best motor for their application. It also includes two new spline data types – fixed-point and floating-point. These data types give machine builders the flexibility to choose more combinations of loop rates when using servo motors, which they can use to fine-tune their motion controllers for higher performance control.
